Questions

How do you know which platform a website uses?

Every platform leaves traces in the page code: folder names such as /wp-content/ (WordPress) or cdn.shopify.com (Shopify), a "generator" meta tag, or server headers. We read the public HTML and headers of the page you enter – nothing else.

Why is Google Analytics "not found" when the site has it?

Many sites add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or Google Ads inside Google Tag Manager. Those tags are loaded by GTM in the visitor's browser, so they are not in the HTML. If GTM is found, the other tags may be inside it – the free Chrome extension can see them on the live page.

Can you see if Search Console is set up?

Only when the site uses the HTML meta-tag method. Websites verified by DNS, an HTML file, Google Analytics or Tag Manager show no trace in the page.

Does "found" mean the tracking works?

No. It means the code is on the page. Whether it sends data correctly can only be confirmed inside Google Analytics, Tag Manager preview or Meta Events Manager.
